In a powerful demonstration of community support for women entrepreneurs, the RestoreHER x Worth Pursuing Inc. Micro-Grant Initiative will offer a special funding opportunity exclusively for attendees of the upcoming Minority GovCon Business Summit in April 2025.
Breaking the Burnout Cycle in Government Contracting
Unlike traditional business grants that focus solely on operational expenses, the RestoreHER Micro-Grant takes a revolutionary approach by supporting both business growth and the personal wellbeing of women entrepreneurs. This unique initiative acknowledges that true business success requires nurturing the person behind the business, providing financial support that can be used for business growth, professional development, or well-being initiatives.
"Too often, women push themselves to burnout in pursuit of success," says Cheya Thousand, founder of RestoreHER. "This micro-grant provides financial support to women entrepreneurs who are building sustainable businesses while prioritizing their well-being. We no longer have to sacrifice our well-being for success."
From Individual Contribution to Community Collaboration
What began as a $250 grant sponsored by Vision Solution LLC., quickly transformed into something much larger during the Summit's pre-event celebration. Dr. Matthew Rosario, matched the original $250 sponsorship with an additional $250, to support the grant designated specifically for a woman entrepreneur in government contracting, which will be awarded at the Minority Business GovCon Summit on April 19, 2025.

In a spontaneous show of support, Summit attendees Tonda Jordan and Aaliyah Fields also contributed to the grant, with Fields adding a 60-minute massage therapy session for the recipient.
This collaborative spirit exemplifies the supportive ecosystem being fostered within the Minority GovCon community, where success is measured not just by contracts won, but by the holistic health of business owners.
